Job Description

  • Helping to estimate costs, material quantities and project timelines. A key part of the role will be to liaise with a range of other teams working on the project, helping it to stay on track.
  • At projects initial stage ,study drawings and specifications for new projects to calculate the quantity of materials, costs, labour and time required for the build. provide early cost advice, to budget and benchmark the project, and to prepare life cycle cost plans.
  • Support prepare tender and contract documents this can include bills of quantities with the client and consultant(s).
  • Undertake cost analysis for variations & claims, advise on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Value completed work and arranging payments. Make sure clients get value for money on the project.
  • Prepare and submit cost estimates and budgets for projects, conduct studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs. Continually analyze outcomes and write budget reports.
  • Track changes to the design and construction work, and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  • Review and analyze contractor and supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to management, providing updates on project costs, budget variances, and potential risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and incorporate best practices into cost management processes.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects, Proven experience in handling contractors progress payments.
  • Experience in the construction of water and wastewater projects.
  • Knowledge of professional project management processes and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working internationally.
