Responsibilities
Collaborate with the producer to understand the documentary’s themes, emotional tone, and pacing
Propose or compose background music that complements key moments and transitions
Create variations or alternative tracks to provide flexibility in post-production
Ensure music is properly mixed, mastered, and delivered in professional-quality formats
Strong ability to translate narrative and visuals into fitting musical expressions
Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Logic Pro, Cubase, or Ableton Live
Understanding of cinematic scoring techniques and use of instrumentation for mood creation
Strong collaboration and communication skills to incorporate feedback effectively
Portfolio showcasing previous work in film, documentaries, or related media projects
Reliability and ability to meet project deadlines in a remote freelance environment
