Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Production Planning:Utilize ERP software to develop comprehensive production schedules based on demand forecasts and available resources.Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of production plans with overall business objectives.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and customer requirements.Inventory Management:Manage inventory levels by accurately forecasting material requirements and coordinating material activities with the warehouse team.Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels to support production needs.Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Warehouse Operations:Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and ensure efficient material handling processes.Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished products in accordance with standard operating procedures.Streamline warehouse operations to improve productivity and minimize downtime.ERP Utilization:Leverage ERP software to generate material requests, track inventory movements, and record production data accurately.Provide training and support to team members on ERP system usage and best practices.Collaborate with IT and other relevant stakeholders to implement system enhancements and address any technical issues.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators such as production efficiency, inventory turnover, and stock accuracy.Present findings to management and recommend actionable strategies to optimize operational performance.Job Requirement:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field preferred.Proven experience in production planning, inventory management, and warehouse operations.Proficiency in ERP systems, with hands-on experience in material control and product dispatch modules.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other essential software tools.Prior experience in the industrial sector is highly desirable.
