Dispatch Coordinator

Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex.Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator – Suez.The Dispatch Coordinator will ensure that all goods presented by the Warehouse Department are delivered by the drivers at the correct address within the time limits set, in appropriate condition and together with the correct documents and appropriate cost.This position will report to the Supply & Dispatch Manager – Egypt & Saudi Arabia.What you will work on:  Update all ETA’s through consistent monitoring with agentsSchedule drivers deliveriesMonitor the efficiency of the dispatch operations and driver utilizationEnsure that transport is done in an efficient and cost effective way in line with demandEnsure compliance to all rules and regulationsResponsible for correct document flow, reporting and trackingReport and take action to ensure professional and timely deliveriesKeep delivery trucks maintained to appropriate standards, rules and regulations, including placard, certificates, etcWhat you need to succeed in the role: Ability to communicate on all levels Ability to work in a team and on own initiatives Good command of written and spoken English Good knowledge of and experience within worldwide transportation methods and requirements Good knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation regulations in all transport modes In depth familiarity and knowledge of transportation rules and regulations Ability to work outside normal business working hoursAdditional preferences Dangerous Good Certification Maritime experience Systematic, organized and accurate Good knowledge of products carried Valid Driving CertificationWhat we offer:   Working at Wilhelmsen offers a culture and work environment of strong leadership, career development, work-life balance and a job that is both challenging and stimulating.
