Offshore Medic

Job Scope Provide pre-hospital emergency medical services to all personnel (Employees, Contractors, and Visitors) at the company’s Operational assets including Offshore (Platforms, Outlying Platforms, Rigs and Boats) and Onshore assets including Rigs. Provide immediate treatment, stabilization and evacuation to a medical facility for further treatment. Provide primary care services to Offshore personnel including diagnosis, basic investigations as available and treatment as required, in consultation with the clinic physician and keep appropriate records. Assist in the implementation and administration of occupational health services to Offshore including hazard identification, assessment and evaluation of risk and control of effect and onsite fitness for work. Assist in administering and implementing the company’s wellness programmes Offshore including assessment and control of risk factors, employee assistance and counseling, vaccination and provision of health education. Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and body fluids as well as environmental samples and pack and dispatch Onshore for analysis. Provide medical orientation to new employees, conduct First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training. Perform Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) fitness testing for relevant employees and contractors.Educational Qualifications▪ Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS)or▪ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing + Internationally / Nationally recognized EMTbridging program or equivalentor▪ A minimum 2-year Diploma / Degree in Emergency Medicine and the following: Basic Life Support (BLS) Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Trauma Life Support (ATLS / ITLS / PHTLS)
