In KSA, we provide Technical Inspection Services (TIS) for Inherent Defect Insurance (IDI) for buildings. Our company,headquartered in Riyadh, employs more than 50 permanent staff, scattered across the country.To continue our development and meet the needs for quality control in the fast growing markets of infrastructure and Oil & Gas in KSA, we are setting up a mechanical & environmental laboratory, based in the East Region.Apave already has a leading 360° laboratory in the UAE: Apave Lonestar, with 330 staff and offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and so the laboratory project in KSA will benefit from Apave Lonestar's expertise, reputation and know-how in terms of Quality Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, Information Technology, Equipment Supply, etc. Definition of the position to be filled:Under the responsibility of the General Manager of APAVE.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES which includes the following.Other duties may be assigned.Overall responsibility for the laboratory operations and the provision of the resources needed to ensure the required quality of laboratory operations. Establishes policies and procedures for the control of product quality in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Officer. Assist the General Manager together with QAO to develop policies and procedures for the Laboratory. Meet clients along with the Business Development personnel to secure job/projects.Produce definitive departmental business plan in conjunction with business development personnel to ensure company strategies are met. Encourage and promote effective two-way communication at all levels to ensure all personnel are aware of departmental and company policies and objectives. Form close working alliances with all support departments and supply advance information on all forthcoming projected and identified resource requirements. Develop a professional and open relationship with clients whilst ensuring the interest of the company is protected and to actively pursue the broadening of the company’s client base. Maintain awareness of new technologies and products that will increase the efficiency of the department and continuously Ensure implementation and reinforcement of the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program. Provide direction for all work performed within Lonestar Technical Services. Establishes policies and procedures for the control of product quality in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Officer.Ensure implementation and reinforcement of the Laboratory Quality Program.OPERATIONS MANAGERAssist the General Manager together with QAO to develop policies and procedures for the Laboratory. For non-administrative functions, working with section heads to ensure that policies and procedures havebeen defined and assisting in the creation of a written Operations Manual for each section or for the entire organization. Assisting in the development of appropriate forms, templates agreements and other important documents within the company. Ensuring that new hires have received appropriate orientation materials, supplies and work space. Manage analytical resources within the Laboratory in order to balance the workload to meet holding times and schedules.Resolves problems involving intra laboratory issues.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in science or engineering. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.Must Have 10 years of experience as a Lab Manager in a Environmental and Mechanical Laboratory's in Saudi .
