The below is a quick overview of the job:To maintain close daily communication with other departmental managers, to ensure all areas across the business work in unison. To lead and develop a team that is welcoming, approachable, and driven to deliver exceptional experiences to all guests, customers, and members. To ensure the quality and consistency of hotel operations. To deliver a benchmarked level of employee productivity whilst at the same time ensuring uncompromising hospitality standards across all areas the hotel. To understand guest experience trends and translate feedback into tangible actions that deliver measurable improvement in satisfaction metrics. To handle any guest or customer complaint that requires escalation and resolution by senior management. To assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations. To be fully accountable for the Rooms P&Ls, closely monitoring the financial performance and taking action to protect / drive profitability. To review the weekly revenue forecast and scheduling requirements, ensuring the right amount of resource is in the right place, at the right time. To produce a monthly P&L critique with explanations for variances and be able to articulate a narrative for inclusion in monthly ownership reports. To work with Finance and direct reports to produce the annual budget for all relevant departments. To review security / incident reports daily, communicating risks to the Managing Director as necessary and ensuring compliance with legislation and/or company policiesTo understand rooms revenue strategies and assist with its executionQualifications:Experience as Director of Rooms / Rooms Division Manager in a luxury hotel/upscale hotel environmentEnergetic and dynamic leader who can influence at a senior level and engage a team with a guest centric service outlookA team player that understands the importance of building close professional relationship and demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligenceWell developed, logical thinker with the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quicklyAbility to lead, multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environmentIT skills such as Opera, Outlook, other hotel systems, and touchscreen devicesExceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skillsFriendliness, efficiency and a ‘can-do’ attitude are what people have come to expect when they visit us and our success will depend on your willingness to go that extra mile.
