Internal Job Title: Continuous Improvement EngineerBusiness: Lucy Switchgear ArabiaLocation: Dammam, Saudi ArabiaJob Reference No: 3256Job PurposeOverall running of the Continuous Improvement Initiatives in Lucy Saudi Arabia using/ developing Lean Manufacturing approach for Production and Administrative Processes.Job ContextAct as a CI Agent, developing, cascading, engaging the employees, and creating a Lean Culture across the organization.Job DimensionsCoordinate CI Activities in Lucy Saudi Arabia aligned with Global Operations Team. Ensure that all HSE, Quality, Inventory, On Time Delivery, and Productivity Requirements are being followed by the whole value chain. Key AccountabilitiesDrive Continuous Improvement in entire LSA Factory. Develop and drive Value Stream Mapping in LSA being a champion in driving improvements using Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Standard Work, TPM, SMED, Pull System (Kanban), and One-Piece Flow). Create/ Define Layout for Production Process using Lean Approach. Implement TPM for all Machines/ Equipment. Document all CI Projects using A3 Methodology. Define/ Review Standard Work for all Assembly Line. Balance the Assembly Line as per the Takt Time. Ensure CI system implementation by deploying correct manufacturing processes and deploy VSM actions in LSA. Be accountable with Continuous Improvement actions and be the driver for VSM update. Drive Continuous Improvements initiatives and cost reduction with target to reduce the wastes. Drive improvements in line with OEE measure and define actions to be on target, higher than 85% for Laser, Bending Machines and Powder Coating Line. Be responsible for updated all work instructions for assembly lines/ fabrication and identify trainings needed to improve overall efficiency and product quality. Responsible for time study in Fabrication Department and Assembly Lines. Be fully responsible to update the time study by and drive overall improvements to be on target as per standard time per product line. Develop new tools and fixtures that are used in assembly and fabrication in order to improve efficiency and the safety of the employees. Be a champion to meet ISO Quality/HSE standards and prepare for internal and external audits. Facilitate safe working environment for people. Ensure that all production& fabrication staff are aware of the site CI tools & procedures & initiatives. Ability to use AutoCAD drawings, BOM reader and understanding from Teamcenter. Technical knowledge and abilities to ready electrical and mechanical diagrams. Responsible and accountable for the Kaizen Events is order to improve efficiency, productivity, cycle time and takt time for Fabrication & Assembly areas. Qualifications, Experience & SkillsMinimum Qualifications, Knowledge and ExperienceMore than 5 years’ experience as an Industrial, Process, Lean or Opex Engineer in a manufacturing company. Experience in assembly plants in a reputed organization, preferably switchgear industry will be added as advantage. Green or Black Belt Lean Six sigma certified. Engineer degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial process. Knowledge in ISO standards and Health, Safety standardsKnowledge in Manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing Tools as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba, Standard Work, Lean Material Flow, Kanban, TPM and SMED. Understanding the impact of poor quality and poor efficiency in a Manufacturing Environment. Behavioural CompetenciesAbility to work with people from different nationalities. Self-starter and takes initiative for additional responsibilities and challenges. Analytical and Planning skills to lead CI initiatives in a plant with more than 100 blue collar employees.
