Project Director

We are seeking a Project Director as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Saudi Branch. Coordination of team efforts and leading the team in discussions with the client. Quality check of deliverablesMaking sure that the team understands well the task and works exactly on what client needs, so they don’t do any excessive tasksMaking sure that PMO support properly conducts all project bureaucracyResponsible in planning and developing systems that encloses all the areasRole would involve managing the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel to and from construction sites efficiently and safetyEnsures development and implementation of project procedures and plansRepresents the Customer’s interests bringing the project to successful completionIdentifies resources requirements and ensures mobilization and deployment of such resourcesEnsures Health, Safety, Security & Environment, Quality Assurance and Waste Management requirements are fulfilledDevelops risk management strategy and ensures project risks are identified and managedPromotes technical excellence, including implementation of Quality Assurance proceduresEnsures the development of detailed cost plans; approved budget is monitored and provides regular update on financial performanceEnsures an effective change management procedure is developed and implementedReviews and provides recommendation on change order requestsEnsures the successful implementation of an effective reporting systemEnsures successful completion, project close out and handover of the projectQualifications:Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years’ experience in construction logistics projects, materials movement, people movement, traffic management, traffic simulation and waste managementAt least 10 years’ experience as Project Director / Project ManagerSolid understanding and track record in program managementMiddle East or Saudi Arabia experience is an advantageTrack record in resource planning, quality and safety management, customer, and stakeholder management, etcDemonstrated initiative, drive, leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and quest for optimizationExcellent written and oral communication skills, as well organization and planning skillsAbility to work in a cooperative team environment, with stakeholders from very different fieldsExperience working with authorities in the Middle East would be an advantageExcellent communication skills – fluent in English and Arabic, reading, writing and speaking.User skills in MS Office applications including logistics management software, MS Projects and/or PrimaveraDriving license required to drive to site or to technical meetings with the client representative.
