PURPOSE OF THE JOB:We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting project delivery by providing technical expertise and ensuring the successful execution of electrical designs. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee projects meet all requirements and are delivered on schedule and within budget.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals for electrical systems, verifying compliance with design intent, industry standards, and project specifications.Provide timely and comprehensive responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors, offering clear technical explanations.Address contractor inquiries regarding electrical designs, proposing solutions and ensuring clear communication.Participate in site visits to assess construction progress, identify potential electrical issues, and recommend solutions.Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the project.Maintain accurate and up-to-date electrical design documentation.May assist with the development and review of electrical calculations.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a demonstrated focus on project delivery and construction support.Proven experience in reviewing and approving shop drawings and material submittals for electrical systems.In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.Experience working on-site is a strong asset.Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPlan) is required.VERTICAL : ENGINEERING
