All rights reserved.Job PurposeAs a member of the Regional Management Team contributes to the RCU (Regional Commercial Unit) strategy execution plan and takes a lead in defining, and owning, the specific implications for the region. Ensures execution of the agreed sales -, selected cost from the P&L- and profitability related targets established by the RCU within multiple areas, constituting the sales region by managing the subordinated field force and organizing high quality sales support infrastructure required in the execution of sales processes.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.Key AccountabilitiesRolls-out Country/Sub-Regional sales programs (including sales process-related knowledge and tools) and implements corporate promotions.Works closely with marketing to analyze present and future market trends and customer feedback for market segmentation and planning to aim for further market penetration within her/his region. Develops and executes sales strategies in the marketplace securing achievement of expected bottom line result in the allocated region. Plans, monitors and periodically reports on execution of major sales activities.Identifies significant business opportunities, pinpoints existing and/or potential problem areas and assists field force where appropriate. Follows CRM updates related to pipelines.Provides feedback to understand how customers are utilizing our products and how well those products align versus competitive products. Primarily focusing on Country and Sub Regional accounts.Takes brand promotional plans and deploys into accounts within the country/sub region.Input to price setting, carries out negotiations with the regional market. Monitors and feeds back competitive pricing to marketing, has responsibility for implementation.Inputs demand forecast for Country/Sub Region sales plans. Feeds demand forecast to operations for tactical use and marketing for strategic (product planning) use; reposnsible for Country IBP per segment and responsible for BIAS KPI.Develops, executes and monitors key performance indicators for regional sales team.Travels frequently respective to spend a certain part of his time by visiting major customers and stakeholders in the market.Regularly calls on major direct and indirect customers to maintain close contact with the market.Supports Regional Key Account Management with Key Account Management initiatives, roll out process in the market and when dealing with major accounts; mainly related to Auto and I&C.Delivers input to the back-office (including, marketing, operations and finance) in order to achieve consistency and professionalism in approach to the marketplace.Systematically up-dates the customers’ databases with valid, accurate and complete customer-related information.Promotes maintaining good relationships with major industry stakeholders.Promotes the positive company image and develops good customer relations by participating in major customer events.In coordination with Regional Marketing steers the adaptation and implementation of RCU and Regional solutions within the area of services.Plans and manages payment agreements with and behavior of customers.Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.Main Management ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with Regional RCU Management Team to ensure matrix structure operates efficiently.Acts as an ambassador and encouraging talent processes and engagement.Ensures job profiles are in place, sets objectives for team members, reviews development and provides clear, open and constructive feedback on performance combined with the appropriate actions.Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movement. Continuously monitors and evaluates retention risk.Stimulates, manages and follows through on employee engagement and builds on the workforce to reflect the societies and markets in which we do business (D&I).Creates an open environment in the team where all people can perform at their best and stimulates the development of others and ensures an engaged team. Ensures reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations. Takes ownership by representing Regional RCU Management Team towards own team and vice versa. Manages and plans relevant (departmental) budget and proactively manages the costs.Reports on progress on a continuous base.ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.Proven experience in managing Profit and Loss for a business unit or sales territory.Experience in the Paints industry or related sectors is highly desirable, with at least 8-10 years in sales, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team.Proven experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.Experience in aligning sales strategies with overall business objectives.Strong relationship-building skills with key clients and partners.Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging open communication.Proficient in data analysis and utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve sales performance.Comfortable using CRM systems and other sales tools to enhance efficiency.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.At AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
