Job Description
- This role is vital to the smooth operation of the C&F department and indirectly significantly impacts the performance of all Sales Divisions within Monoprix operation. The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage the flow of all C&F related documents, provide clear communication and reporting, plus coordinate with external clearing agents and the import team on the release priorities. Critically the role must immediately highlight any issues impacting ‘on time' receipt of shipments and/or freight landed costs to the Import and Finance team within the Division and hasten resolutions.
- Follow import schedule order approved by the Manager and send, confirm, follow-up and need update.
- Work closely with Finance Department (loading cost estimate and analysis, collecting cash/cheque
- Has permanent contact with the suppliers to resolve any issue regarding shipments.
- Arranging full documentation for import release and being contact with Custom Clearance agents, Import Supplier, Customs, Supreme Council of Health and Baladiya.
- Resolving problems with Baladiya and Supreme Council of Health in terms of expiration items, labeling with high mastery of products.
- Controlling Arabic, French, English ingredients for import items due to origin of country. Update with import suppliers schedule of import deliveries.
- Following penalty, damage, rejected items with forwarder, suppliers, customs and health departments
- Analyze demurrage cost.
- Maintain and update knowledge on all customs clearance process and evaluate, self-study course and present same to the management
- Execute required transportation strategies. Collaborate with Store Team and Freight Forwarders and administer appropriate movement of all goods and supervise all freight flow and ensure clearance and delivery of all import goods.
- Prepare and processes all import documents and broker invoices and manages all contain shipments in coordination with freight carrier and Monoprix Team
- Coming and pending, damage and shrinkage import deliveries
- Develop a detailed understanding of the shipping and receiving requirements. To analyses all new law and regulates from imports goods to stock goods. Calculation and analyses of estimated and updated landing cost
- Find out the possible way to improve the system of importing as per local rules and regulation
- Perform and supervise all import activities to ensure safe and smooth flow.
- Ensure timely and accurate input of all freight information through the inventory management system
- Signing off on bill of lading, noting any damaged freight and handling the claims when needed.
- Controlling paperwork from the time of import order until to receive the merchandise.
- Maintaining and overseeing the records of all received goods and supplies.
- Ensuring that goods are safely and efficiently transported from airport, port. Respond to customers or shippers questions, inquiries, complaints.
- Controlling import new item ingredients Arabic, French and English. Controlling all charges.
- Controlling landed cost percentage. Perform any import matters by interacting with outside party concerned.
- Works in a relatively stable environment primarily interfacing with the Operations, commercial team, Finance team, Warehousing team and frequently with external customers such as the courier, shipping agencies and local governmental authorities (Air / Land / Sea customs department, Chamber of commerce etc.)
Job Requirements
Skills
Graduate bachelor's degree.
With 3-5 years' experience in the same capacity in Kuwait
Knowledge in filing and documentation
Knowledge of documentation and procedures concerning imports, Shelf life of Process (GSO)
Strong knowledge of rules and regulations related to the Public Authority for food and Nutrition, Ministry of health & Kuwait Municipality.
Language Speaking: English and Arabic required; French is an ADVANTAGE.
Technically Competent and proficient with MS Office and emails to perform job function.
Have a strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to efficiently network and coordinate processes with suppliers.
