Job Description:
We are hiring a Planning Department Manager to join our Engineering Management & Technical Office team (DPT08).
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing, updating, and monitoring project time schedules, analyzing delays, managing risks, and reporting performance indicators. This role requires excellent planning skills, attention to detail, and leadership ability to guide junior planning engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare baseline time schedules for projects, including resource loading and related outputs such as: cash flow charts, manpower and equipment histograms, critical path analysis, S-curves, etc., according to client requirements.

Develop risk management plans for each project and follow up on planned responses when issues occur.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports and dashboards for ongoing projects, including key performance indicators (KPIs).

Review daily reports prepared by site planning engineers.

Update project schedules weekly to reflect actual site progress.

Compare actual vs. planned performance, analyze time variances, and suggest recovery plans to reduce delays and restore the schedule.

Raise early warning alerts to senior management in case of critical deviations affecting project progress.

Prepare time schedules for bidding projects in coordination with tendering teams.

Analyze the time impact of any project changes and update the schedule accordingly to reflect contractual modifications.

Prepare supporting reports for time extension (EOT) claims, including delay analysis reports using approved methods like Time Impact Analysis (TIA).

Lead and mentor junior planning engineers, and enhance their capabilities through ongoing training and technical guidance.

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD (Power BI is a plus).

Strong knowledge of delay analysis techniques and risk management.

Ability to work under pressure with excellent organization and multitasking skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.

 

Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years
