Job Description
The Candidate must have the following capabilities:
- Model Development and Management:
- Creating and maintaining detailed 3D models of the masterplan, buildings, including architectural and interior design
- Reviewing all disciplines such structural elements, MEP systems, and components.
- Updating and refining models throughout the different project phases, from concept, schematic design to construction documentation.
- Developing and managing all the model libraries and content.
- Development of BIM Strategy and Standards
- Development and Implementing BIM Execution Plans:
- Implementing and adhering to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) for specific projects.
- Establishing and enforcing BIM standards, protocols, and workflows
- Providing support on BIM software and workflows to team members.
- Conducting regular BIM audits and quality control checks of the outputs.
- Coordinating BIM Models: Managing the creation, organization, and maintenance of BIM models from all the disciplines.
- Ensuring Model Accuracy and Compliance: Ensuring models meet quality standards, are accurate, and adhere to project requirements.
- Facilitating Communication and Collaboration: Fostering communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders.
- Conducting Clash Detection: Identifying and resolving clashes between different discipline models.
- Managing BIM Data: Managing the flow of BIM data and ensuring it is accessible to relevant parties.
- Providing BIM Support: Providing support to the team on BIM-related issues and challenges.
- Overseeing BIM Project Lifecycle
- Ensuring Model Accuracy and Compliance as per the RFP, table of responsibility and time schedule.
- Design And Documentation:
- Generating detailed construction documents and drawings from BIM models.
- Extracting quantities, schedules, and other information from the models for construction purposes.
- Ensuring that BIM models align with project specifications, standards, and design intent.
Job Requirements
Education: A bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering is a must.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years of professional experience in a BIM Coordinator or similar role, demonstrating a strong track record of managing BIM projects from concept to construction documentation.
Model Management: Proven ability to create, maintain, and refine detailed 3D models for masterplans and buildings, including architectural, interior, structural, and MEP elements.
BIM Strategy & Execution: Extensive experience in developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and enforcing BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
Coordination & Clash Detection: At least 5-8 years of experience in coordinating BIM models across multiple disciplines and conducting thorough clash detection to resolve conflicts.
Quality & Compliance: Demonstrated ability to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project requirements, RFPs, and specified schedules.
Design & Documentation: Experience generating construction documents, drawings, and extracting quantities and schedules directly from BIM models.
Software Proficiency: A deep understanding and high proficiency with a range of BIM software and related tools.
Language & Communication: Excellent command of both English and Arabic, in both written and spoken forms, to facilitate effective collaboration and communication with project teams and stakeholders.
