Job Description
- Prepare and develop detailed and accurate shop drawings based on design drawings and specifications.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings from different disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
- Identify and resolve design conflicts and clashes using coordination tools and software.
- Ensure shop drawings are in compliance with contract documents, local codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams for timely submission and approval of drawings.
- Attend technical and coordination meetings with the project team and consultants.
- Follow up on shop drawing submittals and ensure timely approval from consultants/clients.
- Prepare and maintain drawing logs and submittal schedules.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Support procurement and construction teams with required technical documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior drafting team members, if applicable.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit,ASD , and other related software for 2D/3D drafting and coordination.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( Civil, ).
- Minimum of 6–10 years of experience in shop drawing preparation within construction or contracting companies.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and coordination software such as Navisworks.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical specifications, and applicable codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
