Job Description
The overall purpose of the Mechanical Engineer position is to ensure the efficient and reliable, operation of the wastewater treatment plant's mechanical systems.
This includes designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as pumps, valves, pipes, and other mechanical components.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantity surveying for mechanical components to ensure accurate assessment and cost estimation.
- Develop and manage budgets for mechanical engineering projects, promoting efficient resource use and cost-effective solutions.
- Design and implement mechanical engineering solutions for new construction projects or upgrades to existing facilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical systems.
- Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with design standards and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough testing and commissioning procedures to verify the functionality and performance of installed systems.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders to coordinate and review project deliverables.
- Coordinate and review all deliverables from external partners, including technical presentations and drawings.
- Prepare material submittals and follow up on approvals to ensure timely procurement and avoid project delays.
- Oversee the procurement of equipment and materials needed for mechanical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in sewage Treatment Plant is a MUST
- +5 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering in the Construction/Infrastructure is a MUST.
- Good command of English language ( verbal and written).
