Job Description
Establish and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and standards across assigned projects.
· Track project expenditures against approved budgets, forecasts, and estimates, identifying variances and proposing corrective measures.
· Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and contractual commitments for alignment with budgetary requirements and company policies.
· Prepare periodic cost reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) for management, highlighting financial performance, variances, and risks.
· Provide cost analysis and support in resource allocation, cash flow planning, and cost forecasting to ensure project financial health.
· Maintain comprehensive records of cost-related data for transparency and audit purposes.
· Support tendering and bid preparation by providing accurate cost input and financial analysis.
· Collaborate with finance, procurement, and project control teams to maintain alignment on cost-related matters.
· Contribute to the continuous development of cost control processes and promote financial efficiency within projects.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably within infrastructure projects.
Solid understanding of cost control methodologies, budgeting, and financial reporting practices. Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with cost management tools/software (e.g., Primavera, ERP systems, or equivalent).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to liaise across multiple departments.
