Job Description
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including forming machines, annealing lehrs, and conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.
- Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Work with the maintenance team to repair or replace faulty components as needed.
- Collaborate with production engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Implement modifications and upgrades to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to optimize production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, and modifications.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is up to date and compliant with industry standards.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to mechanical maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Promote a safe working environment by providing training and guidance to maintenance personnel.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and ensure critical components are readily available.
- Coordinate with procurement to order parts and materials as needed.
- Track usage of spare parts and optimize inventory levels to reduce costs
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the container glass manufacturing industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Familiarity with glass forming machines, annealing lehrs, and other equipment used in container glass manufacturing.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Other:
