Job Description
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team on financial and business planning.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and establish KPIs for the company’s operational and financial performance.
- Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasting and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide timely financial insight to inform decision-making in production planning, equipment investment, and raw material procurement.
- Optimize the company’s cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital to meet production demands.
- Evaluate and manage investments to maximize returns.
- Lead initiatives to secure funding or financing for growth projects and operational stability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws relevant to the food production industry.
- Oversee internal audit processes to mitigate risk, especially related to production and supply chain management.
- Develop and enforce risk management policies related to product pricing, raw material sourcing, and market fluctuations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across production lines, procurement, and supply chain.
- Monitor production costs, margin analysis, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning in the food industry.
- Partner with the operations team to optimize inventory management, machinery investment, and labor allocation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, encouraging high performance and continuous improvement.
- Foster collaboration between finance and other departments to drive strategic initiatives.
- Ensure the team stays current on financial best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting.
- Accounting / Finance qualification (CPA, CFA, CIMA) MBA is a plus.
- From 12 to 15 years of experience in CFO, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within the food production or manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and cost management.
- Deep understanding of the food production industry, including regulatory requirements, supply chain dynamics, and production cost structures.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial forecasting, and accounting software.
