Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Conduct supply chain assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Forecast demand and supply to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock outs or excess inventory.
- Purchasing:
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, supplies, and equipment for all company operations.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Agriculture Purchasing:
- Oversee the purchase of agricultural inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other inputs.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of agricultural products.
- Export Subsidies:
- Manage the company's export subsidy programs and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to maximize export subsidies.
- Planning:
- Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate with various departments, including production, sales, and finance, to ensure smooth operations.
- Warehousing:
- Manage the company's warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, and distribution.
- Implement efficient warehouse management systems and procedures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and utilization.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Job Requirements
- Post graduate studies are preferred (MBA is preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- +10-15 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the agricultural or food industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.
