Job Description
The position's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: -
- Establishing a comprehensive system for the internal handling of grant proposals in accordance with AIU policies and the rules and regulations of the respective granting agents priore institutional endorsement
- Establishing a central framework for communication with and outreach to granting agencies and potential funding partners
- Management of a Research Proposal Administration System involving the archiving of proposals, follow-up on funding, and triggering the preparation of and archiving the periodic financial and technical reports
- Regular review of research fund disbursement and item allocation to different budget lines
- Technical and administrative coordination with ethical review boards regarding the necessary approvals for funding application and/or disbursement
- Coordination and management of intellectual property rights that might arise from research activities
- Follow up on the execution of research services for internal and external clients and the enforcement of the relevant technical and financial policies
- Coordination of the relevant financial transaction and invoice issuance
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Science from an accredited university. With a minimum grade of “Good”.
- MSc degree from an accredited university, preferably in Biomedical Sciences
- Demonstrated experience in technical aspects of scientific research and in laboratory management is preferred.
- Excellent command of Arabic and English speaking and writing skills
- Excellent command of Information Technology Resources relevant to research management and administration
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an interest in fostering collaborations with faculty members at the university and elsewhere are assets.
- Applicant must hold Egyptian citizenship.
Assessment Method:
