Job Summary:
The Head of Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals and ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services. This role involves leading the procurement team, managing supplier relationships, negotiating high-value contracts, and driving cost optimization while maintaining quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute procurement strategies to support the company’s objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
Collaborate with senior management to align procurement plans with business goals.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
Identify and qualify new suppliers and vendors.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
Contract & Cost Management
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best value.
Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Mitigate supply chain risks and establish contingency plans.
Implement and oversee procurement policies, procedures, and controls.
Performance Monitoring
Track procurement KPIs and generate reports for leadership.
Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a Managerial role.
- Must have experience in the Saudi market.
