We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Senior E-commerce Accountant to join our team. This role will oversee the financial operations of our e-commerce business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and smooth integration of online sales data with accounting systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience in e-commerce accounting, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possesses a proactive and analytical mindset.

Location: Hybird (6 days per week)
Working Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting tasks related to e-commerce operations, including revenue recognition, payment gateway reconciliations, and refund processes.
• Reconcile transactions from multiple sales platforms (e.g., Shopify, Noon, Jumia, etc.) and payment gateways (Paymob, Sympl, etc.).
• Monitor and analyze financial data and prepare accurate financial reports for management.
• Collaborate with the E-commerce and Operations teams to ensure smooth coordination between order fulfillment, returns, and financial reporting.
• Handle monthly and annual closings, accruals, and financial statements.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Improve and document accounting procedures and internal controls for the e-commerce side of the business.
• Manage inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock adjustments in coordination with warehouse and procurement teams.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure accurate record-keeping.
