Job Description
The Senior Manual and Automation QC Engineer will be responsible for leading quality control activities, including both manual and automated testing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans and scripts, as well as a proven track record in identifying and resolving defects to ensure product excellence.
Job Requirements
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
- Define testing strategies and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Manual Testing:
- Conduct detailed manual testing of new and existing features to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Document and report defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes.
Automation Testing:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools.
- Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and coverage.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and work with the development team to prevent recurrence.
- Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field Preferred Skills.
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
- Certifications in relevant automation tools.
