Job Description
- Maintains liaison between all personnel assigned to the project to assure mutual understanding and agreement on all phases of the work as defined by the contract and to assure continuity of job progress and design.
- Assists in the preparation of the Bases of Design Report (BODR) of the project including; data collection, identification of problem areas, conceptual and preliminary engineering, outline specifications and project’s preliminary cost estimates.
- Gathers and disseminates project data and information to all concerned so that all activities are well correlated to meet the project commitments.
- Coordinates and resolved technical problems including non-conformance to project specifications or engineering standards.
- Plans and directs utility and offside studies and engineering design.
- Establish and maintains coordination between engineering staff and client technical representatives. Controls client requests to assure adherence to the project scope.
- Assists in motivating the project team to efficiently, economically, and satisfactorily complete their technical assignments.
- Provides the Division Head and the Planning Department Manager on a weekly basis with up-to-date information regarding the status of all projects assigned to the Division by maintaining appropriate records and reports e.g. man-hours status report, budget control, significant projects milestones and major events that could affect the project cash flow, invoicing of Clients, project costs, schedules and Client relations.
- Fosters and maintains good relations with present and potential clients, professional organizations other individuals that may influence the business activities of the Company.
- Establishes, with the guidance of the Division Head, staff budgets and man-power/equipment resources necessary to execute projects in the Division.
- Approves Time Sheets and related computer printouts of the Project Managers and other support staff member as required.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.
- Establish deadline/milestones and assigns required resources.
- Organizes and manages the work of engineers and draftsmen allocated to him and provides engineering support and/or advice to project team as required by the Project Manager.
- Establishes detailed scope of work for the project in conjunction with the Company Principal-in-Charge and client, and in accordance with the project proposal and contract.
- Prepare monthly project status reports, change orders, and invoices.
- Establishes the design criteria and conceptual preliminary engineering designs for all areas of the project, and monitors the preparation of the final engineering and construction drawings.
- Monitors the progress of all project functions and reports on their status to the Projects Division Head and client as required. Gives particular attention to reporting matters affecting project overruns or delays, as soon as these become apparent, and makes every effort with Company Management to rectify them.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering with a Specialization in Architecture is heighly preferred
- Experience working with consulting Engineering Companies
- Project management skills
- Certificate on Project Management is preferred
