Job Description
- Supervise and perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing methods specific to electrical manufacturing.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with the production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
- Review and approve quality documentation such as inspection reports, calibration records, and compliance certificates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001).
- Lead root cause analysis for defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor junior QC staff on inspection techniques and quality systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to address external quality issues.
- Participate in internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality control within an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and standards (e.g., 5 Why, Pareto, FMEA, ISO 9001).
- Experience with electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers).
- Proficiency in using QC software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Six Sigma or similar quality certification is a plus.
