Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS that aligns with global food safety standards such as GlobalGAP, BRC, and IFS.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international food safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and corrective action plans to maintain QMS effectiveness.
  • Product Quality:
    • Oversee the quality of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
    • Establish and enforce strict quality control standards for fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as concentrated products.
    • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Laboratory Management:
    • Manage the quality control laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely testing of products.
    • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
    • Collaborate with external laboratories for specialized testing as needed.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals.
    • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed of evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including labeling, traceability, and allergen management.
    • Represent the company in regulatory audits and inspections.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in quality assurance management within the food industry, preferably in fresh produce and processing.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP and GMP.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
