Job Description
- Organize and maintain files, ensuring proper documentation of health and safety records.
- Develop and continuously update the emergency plan.
- Supervise and monitor the delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) to workers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide comprehensive safety training to both new and existing employees.
- Ensure the implementation of safety protocols during periodic and monthly administrative inspections.
- Oversee evacuation procedures and emergency response operations, ensuring adherence to the company’s evacuation plan as outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Monitor the safe storage of the company’s products.
- Ensure the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
- Implement and oversee periodic medical examinations for employees in accordance with health insurance requirements.
- Monitor contractors' activities and ensure compliance with work permits and safety regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the department manager in planning and organizational tasks.
- Process purchase orders for safety-related equipment and materials.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the factory and supervise workers to maintain a safe working environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA certifications, or equivalent) are preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and environment role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs, inspections, and training.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, emergency response procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform safety audits, inspections, and assessments.
- Strong communication skills for delivering safety training and interacting with staff and contractors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Hazardous materials handling certification would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate teams.
