Job Description

  • Organize and maintain files, ensuring proper documentation of health and safety records.
  • Develop and continuously update the emergency plan.
  • Supervise and monitor the delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) to workers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide comprehensive safety training to both new and existing employees.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety protocols during periodic and monthly administrative inspections.
  • Oversee evacuation procedures and emergency response operations, ensuring adherence to the company’s evacuation plan as outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Monitor the safe storage of the company’s products.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Implement and oversee periodic medical examinations for employees in accordance with health insurance requirements.
  • Monitor contractors' activities and ensure compliance with work permits and safety regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the department manager in planning and organizational tasks.
  • Process purchase orders for safety-related equipment and materials.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the factory and supervise workers to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA certifications, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and environment role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety programs, inspections, and training.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, emergency response procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to perform safety audits, inspections, and assessments.
  • Strong communication skills for delivering safety training and interacting with staff and contractors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Hazardous materials handling certification would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate teams.
  • Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
