Job Description

Job Purpose

Understand the market, the users, the product and technology specifics in order to find and prioritize needs and problems to be solved. Аassist in shaping product vision and strategy, define product roadmap. Organize the product development around hypothesis testing and validation. Create launch strategy and act as an escalation point for product maintenance. Analyze product performance, take data-driven decisions for product growth and enhancement, forecast and budget. Act as product ambassador. Manage stakeholders expectations, inform and engage them in the product development. Lead by example the product team.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 

1. PLC: Manage the product according to the PLC stage


 

2. MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS: Identify and analyze market ecosystem to propose product/service development/enhancements. Propose market opportunities, calculate addressable market size and define product/service positioning. Define PLM process for clients’ organization.

3. BUSINESS ACCUMEN: Support the creation of product/service vision. Collect and analyze data, building Business case (BC) for product introduction/iteration and get clients’ buy-in.


 

4. CUSTOMER DISCOVERY: Set-up customer discovery process and define it as standard and repeatable action.


 

5. HYPOTHESIS VALIDATION: Set hypothesis validation process for constant product improvement. Leverage the usage of best practice techniques in the selected validation technique. Validate product market-fit.

6. PRIORITIZATION: Oversee features/problem prioritization process and advise on best practices for prioritization. Align prioritization approach with company strategy and KPIs and prioritize the product features that will lead to KPIs achievement.


 

7. ROADMAPPING: Sync and get stakeholders buy-in for roadmap changes. Adjust roadmap if necessary based on ad-hoc changes and in case of unforeseen issues with roadmap execution take immediate actions for minimizing negative impact.


 

8. PRODUCT PRICING: Create product pricing strategy and define main and new revenue streams. Contribute to product forecasting and budgeting.


 

9. PRODUCT DESIGN: Build and participate in the execution of a process of work with designers and other team members. Assist in product redesign activities.


 

10. SERVICE DESIGN: Frame and describe new service offering pattern. Prototype the experience, together with architecture needed to support this new approach to get clients buy-in.


 

11. PRODUCT MARKETING: Test and validate best communication channels. Schedule and track marketing activities for the product. Act as product ambassador on external events.


 

12. PRODUCT LAUNCH: Chose product launch strategy and create Customer experience journey.


 

13. PRODUCT ANALYTICS: Determine, collect, track and analyze business –oriented metrics. Work with analytical and BI tools on intermediate level. Analyze predictive metrics (churn, lifetime, etc.). Set goals, define metrics benchmark, track product performance and iterate in case of deviations.

14. CUSTOMER ACQUISITION AND CHANNEL SUPPORT: Analyze sales metrics and sales pipeline. Work fluently with Sales tools (CRM, Sales enablement, tools, etc.). Drive/lead pre-sales activities.


 

15. PRODUCT MAINTENANCE: Analyze customer feedback, act as the “messenger of the market” from the outside-in to the rest of the organization. Establish close collaboration with Customer facing units, resolving all ad-hoc issues in a timely manner. Lead cross-functional teams (incl. design, marketing, technical, customer-facing units). Act as an escalation point for all product related issues.


 

16. DEMO AND PRESENTATION: Develop sales pitches taking in consideration buyer specifics and Value proposition per segment. Conduct presentations and demos to internal and external audiences.


 

17. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Drive discussions around product vision and value. Guide stakeholders to product conflicts resolution.

Job Requirements

Education and degree: (required education)

Example:

- Master degree or higher

- Degree in Computer Science or similar (desirable)

- Business education (desirable)


 

Specialized knowledge: 

- Understanding of product development life cycles

- Understanding of software development life cycles

- Understanding of technology trends is desirable

- Knowledge of standard product management tools specified by project needs (Amplitude, BI tools, Balsamiq, Google Analytics, etc.)

- Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information

- Understanding of project management concepts

- Understanding of business process modeling

- Knowledge of prototyping and modeling tools

- Domain knowledge is must-have

- Project management concepts understanding

- English level: Advanced


 

Experience

- Experience in managing Product teams

- Experience in people management

- Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.

- Experience working with international companies

- Experience with using Product related tools (CRM systems, BI tools, Aha, Slack, Jira etc.)

- Experience with agile product development

- Domain experience
