Job Description
- Manage daily accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and inventory management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company-specific requirements.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of VAT returns, leveraging expertise in VAT exemptions and regulations related to port activities.
- Lead the preparation for audits, liaise with external auditors, and effectively address audit findings.
- Strengthen and enforce financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance skills, performance, and operational excellence.
- Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform operational and strategic decisions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Prior experience in logistics or freight forwarding companies is a must.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with Odoo.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, particularly VAT and customs regulations.
- driver’s license.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
