Job Description
Great Foods is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality control and assurance efforts at our Alexandria facility. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in the food industry, possessing in-depth knowledge of quality management systems and a proven track record of ensuring product excellence. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality standards and procedures to guarantee the safety and quality of our canned goods, concentrates, meat products, frozen vegetables, and sauces.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures in compliance with relevant food safety regulations and company standards.
- Oversee all aspects of quality control throughout the production process, from raw material sourcing to finished product release.
- Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and testing protocols for all product categories (canning, concentrate, meat, frozen vegetables, and sauces).
- Lead and manage a team of quality control personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities, processes, and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance product quality.
- Manage customer complaints related to quality and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Collaborate closely with production, research and development, and other departments to ensure quality considerations are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to food quality and safety.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food industry is mandatory.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience working with the following product categories is essential: canning, concentrates, meat products, frozen vegetables, and sauces.
- Thorough understanding of food safety regulations, quality management systems
- Proven ability to develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant quality control techniques and methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Must be a resident of Alexandria, Alexandria Governorate.
