Job Description
- Implement and follow up on occupational safety and health standards in compliance with legal regulations and legislations.
- Manage EHS activities during shifts at the plant, coordinating with internal departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, HR & Admin, Stores and Warehouse, QC, Procurement, and Technical Services, as well as with external entities like statutory authorities and contractors.
- Ensure a zero-incident/accident environment by adhering to SOPs, permits, training, risk assessments, and other safety measures during shifts.
- Maintain compliance with EHS checklists and company policies, ensuring adherence to all legal and statutory requirements during shifts.
- Conduct regular EHS training for employees at the site during shifts.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of PPEs and safety-related equipment such as hydrant systems, foam, sprinklers, safety showers, and fire alarms.
- Monitor and ensure effective waste management practices in line with environmental laws and legal standards across all shifts.
- Ensure compliance with all occupational health-related activities during shifts.
Job Requirements
- Certifications: OSHA, IOSH, or NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS roles.
- Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of EHS standards, production processes, statutory compliance, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
