Job Description
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and company objectives.
- Coordinate with design, sales, and supply chain teams to forecast production needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Supervise and lead the production team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and enforce quality standards throughout the production process to ensure that all products meet specifications.
- Implement quality assurance protocols and conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze production processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to adopt new technologies and methodologies.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production facility.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Assist in developing the production budget and monitor expenses to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including output, efficiency, quality metrics, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with upper management regarding production progress and challenges.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and ensure that production aligns with customer expectations.
- Address any customer concerns related to product quality or delivery timelines promptly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of experience, 3 out of them as a production Manager.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
