Job Description

Our start-up is seeking a highly organized, hardworking, and self-motivated Sales and Business Development Manager to be responsible for developing and executing business opportunities. 

  • The main responsibility will be responsible for growing HNE Renewables market share within the Renewable Energy Market in Egypt. 
  • The role holder will own the sales initiation, proposal, and contract agreement, and works closely with the Company Director and Technical and Installation Engineer.
  • Responsible for independently managing the Sales, Business Development & Proposal process through the opportunity life cycle from identifying, generating, and approaching new clients up to contracts signature including proposal submission.
  • This role will evolve in the future and hence we’re looking for someone who is passionate about the business and would like to progress and support the start-up growth in Egypt. We also hope that they will help us identify ways we can be more effective and efficient by contributing fresh ideas for improvement.

Location is flexible at this stage (first 6 months working from home) but it’s expected that in future the office will be based in Cairo so ideally, we’re looking for someone based in Cairo.

Flexible/remote or Part-time arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.

The job holder will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Identify, Generate and follow opportunities and business leads within the residential and commercial sectors in the renewable energy sector.
  • Develop Feasibility Studies/Technical and Commercial Proposals/Business cases for different solutions for clients.
  • Analyses competitors in the market and develop strategy for HNE Renewables to increase market share progressively.
  • Making presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with T&I Engineer attending site surveys as required, and getting client feedback following systems installation.

Job qualifications and requirements

  • MSc/BSc degree in Business Administration/Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience (needs to be demonstrated in your C.V.) in Sales, Business development within the services/products sector (ideally within the energy sector).
  • Specific Experience in Sales within the solar/smart grids or electronic/equipment products sector will be desirable.
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Fluency in English Language is required both Spoken and Written.
