Job Overview:
In the credit analyst role, you will review Loan applications and assess their Credit Worthiness. An assessment of Credit Worthiness would require an extensive knowledge of Credit lending and procedures. It is expected to produce a detailed Credit Memo for each Loan application along with the calculation of relevant financial ratios and credit metrics. You are expected to consult with credit associations and rating agencies to obtain relevant credit information to strengthen the Credit Memo. It is critical that you accurately assess the credit score and repayment ability of the borrower. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing valuable insights to help the firm make sound decisions on lending, safeguard receivables, boost interest income, and limit bad credit or non-performing loans. The Loan application would range from SME to Large corporations.
Main Duties:
- Prepares credit memo, reports and loan recommendations.
- Evaluates credit profile, risk exposure, and other risk factors.
- Analyzes balance sheet, cash flow, and credit history.
- Computes interest accruals and plots repayment schedule.
- Maintains and updates existing credit files.
- Stays updated about industry news, key trends, and macroeconomic news.
- Ensures compliance with credit policies.
- Reconcile credit files and identify discrepancies and variances.
- Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests.
- Provide recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
- Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a borrower’s ability to repay.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in corporate or SMEs credit Preferable in financial or fintech sector.
- Credit Course is a must.
- Deep understanding of credit ratings, credit metrics, and credit analytics.
- Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
- Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good English language.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, general computer uses and CRM.
- Excellent in MS- Excel with advanced usage of XL formulas.
- Ability to work out of Egypt - MENA region & Africa.
