Role Overview:
As a Sourcing Agent at Alimento, you will be responsible for identifying and procuring high-quality food products and other non food products. You will be our representative in Egypt, collaborating with local suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring a seamless procurement process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and products that match our criteria.
- Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors in Egypt.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to secure favorable deals for the company.
- Coordinate sample requests, evaluate product quality, and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline the importation process.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to stay ahead in the market.
- Represent our company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, communications, and samples.
- Stay informed about local regulations and customs procedures related to imports.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sourcing activities and progress.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a sourcing agent or in procurement, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Exceptional research abilities and a keen eye for product quality and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
