Job Description:
- Run and support the infrastructure solutions in the most effective way (day and on-call night & week-end support).
- Administer, optimize, and tune the servers and related components to ensure high availability of the various business applications.
- Diagnose and fix incidents as quickly as possible, and make sure that the root cause analyses are done to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, as well as to eliminate recurring incidents.
- Maintain up to date the infrastructure inventory for what is relevant (technical inventory & technical guides and processes).
- Deal with multiple incidents/tasks simultaneously.
- Actively participate in all areas of daily operations involving several technologies such as Citrix, Microsoft, and VMWare.
- Work in collaboration with different teams (Architecture, Global Network, Messaging, Databases, and Applications etc.)
- Proactive detection, troubleshooting and resolution of systems issues.
- Be compliant with the ITIL processes in place in Resources (Incident, Problem, Patch, Change, Release and deployment).
- Develop a good working relationship with peers across the organization and work closely with the various IT functions in the Region.
- Adapt working hours to fit agreed business requirements.
- On-call availability, occasional overtime, and weekend work.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure resource availability and allocation to global IT projects for the flawless project execution within timeline.
Experience/Qualifications/Certifications
- Degree holder of IT
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience
- IT Certification on Server and OS related is preferred
- VMWare, and Azure Certification is preferred
Knowledge
- LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN
- Authentication: SSL, Active Directory, SSH, DNS, DHCP
- SAN / NAS concept and knowledge
- Azure or any cloud knowledge
- Any knowledge in scripting is an advantage
- Virtualization VMware
Skills (including technology)
- Ability to conduct research into systems/ OS issues as required.
- Effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
