Job Description
- Supervise the operations of vessels, berths, and warehouses, and ensure the implementation of loading and unloading activities in accordance with approved operational plans.
- Monitor the status and condition of all stored goods and ensure their safety • Oversee sampling committees from ships or warehouses, ensuring samples meet the required standards and quality.
- Inspect the quality of grains and stored materials and implement preventive measures to maintain their condition.
- Training and guiding work teams within berths and warehouses to ensure compliance with standardized operational procedures.
- Apply safety, quality, and environmental standards at all stages of work within the berths and storage facilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
- Certified in specialized training courses in grain handling and pest control methods.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse and berth operations, preferably in the shipping and unloading sector.
- Specialized knowledge in:
- Types of grains (corn, soybeans, beans, etc.) and their safe storage methods.
- Risks and pests that may affect stored goods and methods of prevention.
- Grain-specific loading and unloading procedures.
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage and supervise teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively liaise with regulatory and governmental bodies.
