Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll in a steel structure factory. This role ensures timely and accurate payment of wages, compliance with labor laws, and proper record-keeping of employee compensation, deductions, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Calculate and process salaries, wages, overtime, and bonuses for factory and office staff.
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time, in line with company policies and labor laws.
- Maintain records of attendance, leaves, and shift schedules to determine payroll inputs.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to government authorities, including tax filings and social security contributions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, contracts, and employee files.
- Deductions & Benefits Administration:
- Manage statutory deductions such as social security, insurance, and income tax.
- Process employee benefits such as medical insurance, overtime, and allowances.
- Address payroll-related queries from employees regarding deductions, benefits, and salaries.
- Reporting & Coordination:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management.
- Coordinate with HR for employee salary changes, new hires, and terminations.
- Work closely with finance teams for budget planning and payroll cost analysis.
- System & Process Improvement:
- Use payroll software to process and manage payroll efficiently.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality of payroll information.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- 1-3 years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role within a steel structure factory.
- Interaction with HR, finance, and factory employees.
- May require occasional site visits or shift adjustments depending on factory operations.
