Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Demand Planner to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting consumer demand and aligning inventory and supply chain strategies accordingly. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to develop and manage forecast models, analyze trends, and provide insights that support business planning and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts across different product categories and time horizons.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, promotions, and external factors to generate accurate forecasts.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to understand demand drivers and variances.
- Use demand planning tools and ERP systems to input and manage forecasts.
- Collect data from internal and external stakeholders including vendors, distributors, and customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and track forecast accuracy to adjust plans when needed.
- Generate regular forecast reports and dashboards for internal decision-makers.
- Proactively identify forecast changes, potential supply gaps, or demand surges.
- Contribute to inventory strategies for new product launches, discontinuations, and seasonal cycles.
- Provide insights on performance metrics and continuously improve demand planning processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Operations, or Logistics.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related supply chain roles.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with demand planning tools and BI/reporting platforms is a strong plus.
- Excellent understanding of statistical models, inventory metrics, and forecasting principles.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for trends and outliers.
- Ability to handle large datasets and draw insights from multiple information sources.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and spoken Arabic & English).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with cross-functional coordination skills.
