Job Description
- Meet parents and visitors coming to the school, and ensuring they sign in the visitors register
- Hold visitors in the reception area until directed to the person they are visiting
- Direct persons to correct destination within the school
- Record student lateness and direct them to their Principal on late arrival
- Record and monitor students early release
- Contact parents who are late picking up their children
- Ensure that students are transferred to the main reception area after school hours
- Answer telephone calls, screen and direct calls to the appropriate person or department in the school
- Take and relay messages received from callers to School Administration
- Provide information related to the school to callers
- Deal with queries from the public and parents
- Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the school
- General administrative and clerical support
- Receive and sort mail and deliveries
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain an appointment diary either manually or electronically
- Ensure that the reception area is tidy and maintained
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent English Language Command
