Job Description
- Builds and configures UNIX and Linux servers.
- Experience with AIX 6 and AIX 7 with proficiency working with related storage subsystem interaction (IBM SVC, SDDPCM).
- Experience with IBM PSeries servers power6, power7 and power8.
- IBM SW: PowerVM, PowerHA, and General Parallel File Systems (GPFS) would be a plus.
- Design, implement, and support Enterprise SAN Storage.
- Design, implement, and support Storage Virtualization & Replication.
- Plan and coordinate, install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain SAN technologies.
- Design, implement, and engineer system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of AIX, Linux, IBM hardware configuration and SAN Storage.
- Good experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
- Good experience in installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring TSM servers and clients.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
