Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Legal Advice and Consultation
- Provide expert guidance on compliance with Egyptian Labor Law No. 12 of 2003 and Law No. 14 of 2025.
- Advise on employee rights and employer obligations.
- Counsel employers and employees on work permits, immigration requirements, and related processes.
- 2. Work Permits and Immigration Compliance
- Prepare and submit work permit applications to the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration.
- Advise on visa, residency, specialized permits, exemptions, and restrictions.
- Monitor compliance with immigration and labor laws.
- 3. Labor Lawsuits and Dispute Resolution
- Represent clients in labor disputes (wrongful termination, unpaid wages, discrimination, workplace harassment) before Specialized Labor Courts.
- 4. Contract Drafting and Review
- Draft and review employment contracts in compliance with Egyptian labor laws (Arabic or bilingual versions).
- Ensure all required copies and filings are completed for the employer, employee, and social insurance office.
- Manage contract modifications with mutual written consent.
- Draft non-compete and confidentiality clauses, referencing applicable Egyptian commercial laws.
- 5. Compliance and Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- 6. Representation in Administrative Proceedings
- Represent clients before the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration, Labor Office, and other relevant authorities.
- 7. Legal Updates
- Stay informed on changes to laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting the organization and clients.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited institution.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a lawyer, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and contract law.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research and document management.
