Job Description
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining computers, peripherals, office phones, software, and related technology at the office.
- The individual in this role will monitor incoming IT helpdesk support requests and act to resolve or escalate as needed
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of recent experience in similar IT role
- Associates degree in applicable IT field or equivalent experience
- Windows 7 – 10 administration experience
- Microsoft Office Suite 2007 - 2016 and 365 functionality
- Desktop, laptop, and printer hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
- Experience with support ticketing systems and remote access tools
- Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, and VPN
- Experience with PC/network backup software and solutions
- Hands-on experience with mobile devices (Android, Apple, Windows)
- Understanding of anti-virus/malware/SPAM prevention and triage practices
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate technical info to both technical/non-technical individuals
- Ability to work outside normal business hours for projects
