Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining computers, peripherals, office phones, software, and related technology at the office.
  • The individual in this role will monitor incoming IT helpdesk support requests and act to resolve or escalate as needed

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of recent experience in similar IT role
  • Associates degree in applicable IT field or equivalent experience
  • Windows 7 – 10 administration experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite 2007 - 2016 and 365 functionality
  • Desktop, laptop, and printer hardware troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
  • Experience with support ticketing systems and remote access tools
  • Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, and VPN
  • Experience with PC/network backup software and solutions
  • Hands-on experience with mobile devices (Android, Apple, Windows)
  • Understanding of anti-virus/malware/SPAM prevention and triage practices
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical info to both technical/non-technical individuals
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours for projects
