Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, network devices, and peripherals.
- Provide technical support to staff, resolving issues with hardware, software, and network connections.
- Monitor system performance, anticipate potential issues, and implement solutions.
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and security trends.
- Document IT processes, create system guidelines and manuals for end-users.
- Conduct regular system audits and prepare IT status reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate IT-related needs and improve overall efficiency.
- Manage IT inventory, including procurement and maintenance of equipment and software licenses.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and various operating systems.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity practices and risk management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or similar are advantageous (accept self-study).
