Job Description
- Comprehend and describe the features and benefits of Shell products available to customers.
- Compare and contrast features of Shell products with those of our competitors to explain Shell’s products effectively.
- Determine the appropriate application of different Shell products to various customer situations involving vehicles, machinery, and/or equipment.
- Know local legislative requirements regarding health, safety, security, and environmental and product disposal guidelines.
- Provide Front Line Technical Support to customers in the following ways:
- Recommend the appropriate Shell products for each customer’s specific application.
- Identify and recommend Shell products to replace competitor products.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks related to lubricants, including making recommendations for solutions with Shell products.
- Conduct joint visits to prospective and existing customers to help the sales team generate sales opportunities and support cross-selling and up-selling activities.
- Conduct individual customer visits to perform plant and equipment audits, conduct lubrication surveys, and create technical proposals to recommend Shell product solutions to customers.
- Advise customers on health, safety, security, and environmental and product disposal guide and provide front line technical support to sales team to support the business development strategy.
- Inform the customer support and sales team of new product information and customer developments that impact service and sales performance.
- Inform the customer support and sales team of local health, safety, security, and environmental and product disposal guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Interact and collaborate with Shell staff to resolve complex technical issues for customers to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to Shell’s technical staff on technical market trends he sees in the field and receive market trend updates from Shell.
- Notify Shell’s technical staff of errors on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Participate and complete various training programs and events offered by your company and Shell.
- Adapt existing Shell training materials for use by customers and staff.
- Conduct training sessions for internal sales and customer support staff on Shell products, applications, and product specifications.
- Conduct customized training sessions for customers on Shell products, applications, and product specifications.
- Use Shell Lube Match and Shell Lube Advisor online systems to determine which Shell product is appropriate for a customer’s application.
- Use Shell Lube Analyst service to test customer oil samples to help the sales team make a better product recommendation.
- Use a variety of Microsoft Office software applications including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Job Requirements
- Degree (e.g. BSc, BEng) - engineering or chemistry or any relevant technical background skills.
- 2- 5 years of experience in a technical (lubricants &applications) environment depending on job level.
- Understanding the supplier’s Business and Needs.
- Have engineering knowledge in industry or transport, or related discipline
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent English and Arabic language level both spoken and written.
- Excellent user of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and ERP system practical experience is a must.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
