Job Description
- Monitor sheet metal/welding processes for efficiency, specs, welding standards, and safety.
- Interpret blueprints/instructions for product and material quality.
- Approve/reject raw materials (sheet metal, welding), track supplier quality.
- Inspect sheet metal/welded samples using measurements and tests against specs.
- Use automated systems for complex sheet metal/weld testing.
- Record testing data and sheet metal/welding defect metrics.
- Inspect welding/sheet metal fabrication equipment for safety and maintenance.
- Inspect overall production procedures for efficiency and safety compliance.
- Monitor equipment use for safety and maintenance, discard non-compliant items.
- Prepare quality reports for the Manager, emphasizing sheet metal and welding.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, or related field.
- Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office
