Job Purpose:
- Manage a team of specialized design engineers.
General Duties /Responsibilities:
- Follow sincerely company policies and "code of conduct".
- Focus on achieving its own and whole company KPIs and realizing its vision.
- Attend weekly team meetings to provide progress reports, share in department system building and enhancing; strategize on steps for the following week, and acquire information about customers' follow-ups and feedback.
- Develop its own self by continuous education and using any opportunity offered by the company or any other entity such as internal training or general studies as clarified in "Training policy".
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the engineering design department and interfacing with all departments. Provide technical input, manage and guide multiple design engineers from concept to final product.
- Delegating roles and overseeing design drafts. Produces designs to specified deadlines and achieves the required timescales.
- Responsible for reporting the progress of all assigned tasks to the project management team.
- Ensures the mechanical design meets customer requirements.
- Collects cost data relating to the mechanical design.
- Collect and analyze department information for review and business development.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide a relevant product and a responsive service.
- Develop and maintain design records and drawings per procedure.
- Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
Job Requirements
Educational &Experience:
- Bachelor of Mechanical design engineering or any equivalent degree.
- Fluent in English is a must
- 7 ~ 10 Years
- Experience in leading mechanical engineering projects.
- Being aware of automation/ electrical design engineering.
- Experience in managing engineering teams.
Skills &Capabilities:
- Proven ability to lead a team.
- Excellent management organizational skills and self-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to effectively report activities.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to form effective cross-functional relationships and to communicate product design/mechanical requirements clearly to non-experts.
- Analytical ability, time management, interpersonal relationship, creativity.
- Able to either answer all queries relating to the mechanical design or to the respective fields.
- Computer literate/knowledge of SolidWorks, Auto-Cad, and any FEA Software.
- Computer literate/knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
