- Manage the day to day staffing of the laboratory and finished product release team and associated routine administrative tasks and initiates purchasing of capital laboratory equipment, reagents, glass ware… etc, within agreed authority limits, in order to optimize laboratory and inspection cost through best utilization of available resources.
- Manage the supply chain of material from the acquisition of raw material to production and delivering of finished goods to ensure that all finished product conforms to release specification and regulation prior to shipping and distribution.
- Develop, interpret and apply regulations, standards, and guidelines and implement different internal audits as per food safety guidelines, to ensure compliance to all applicable laws and regulations and the integrity of operations and products.
- Develop, implement and support quality control program that ensures all testing is performed according to approved methods, laboratory requirements, applicable regulatory requirements, and policy. This includes the set up and administration of a laboratory quality assurance system that covers analyst qualification as well as equipment calibration, maintenance and use of analytical reference standards.
Qualification:
- 7 years of experience with minimum 3 years’ experience in sugar industry or similar FMCG Industry
- University degree in chemistry and any relevant science discipline
- Knowledge of interpretation and application of standardized laboratory methodology, water analysis, microbiology techniques would be an advantage, ISO 9000, 17025, HACCP and any other food safety standard would be an advantage
