Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Planning Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will develop, establish, and maintain all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and cost control across multiple projects, providing expertise in project controls strategies and reporting methods.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for resolving difficult and complex project control problems.
Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
Provide project and company management with tools for project cost control.
Lead the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.
Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against established baselines.
Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance.
Coordinate staffing requirements, assign and supervise project work activities, and train personnel.
Complete performance reviews and provide personnel development for assigned employees.
Accumulate and assess historical data, such as performance experience, for use in realistic future planning and forecasting.
Lead staff qualified to assess the impact of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
Develop or maintain systems to show hierarchy of plans and schedules; ensure project and company management remain fully informed.
Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Supervision Given: Lower-level Project Control Engineers/Specialists
Internal Contacts: All employees on project
External Contacts: Clients; Suppliers; Government Agencies
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of related work experience.
Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and various Project Controls software.
Experience performing in a lead capacity.
Familiarity with industry practices.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
Advanced certifications in project planning and scheduling (e.g., PMP, Primavera P6 certification).
Knowledge of local regulations and standards for large-scale infrastructure and hospitality projects in the Gulf region.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Ability to manage complex project schedules and provide solutions to project delays and issues effectively.
